Day 2: Journey to Athirappilly Falls – Transfer to Munnar

Day 6: Journey from Alleppey to Kovalam with a stop at the Jatayu Earth Centre

Following a delightful breakfast in the morning, embark on a journey to the Jatayu Earth Centre, nestled in the quaint village of Chadayamangalam in Kollam, approximately 50 kilometers from Trivandrum. It is believed that this very location is where Jatayu, a demi-god from the revered Hindu epic ‘Ramayana’ in the guise of a vulture, valiantly battled Ravana, the multi-headed demon king of Lanka (present-day Sri Lanka), in a heroic attempt to thwart the abduction of Goddess Sita, ultimately losing one of his wings in the process. A magnificent concrete statue of Jatayu has been erected atop a grand rock known as Jatayupara (where ‘para’ translates to rock in Malayalam). This monumental statue measures an impressive 200 feet in length, 150 feet in width, and stands 70 feet tall.

Day 7: Exploring Trivandrum & Journey Back to Kovalam (16 Kms – Approximately 30 Minutes)

Following breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum, the city dedicated to the Holy Ananth, named in honor of Ananthan, the cosmic serpent adorned with a thousand heads.

Your first stop will be the illustrious Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, a revered landmark of the city that has stood for 260 years, constructed by the esteemed Travancore Royal family. Here, the deity Padmanabha rests gracefully upon the sacred serpent, crafted from over 10,000 salagramam (sacred stones) that were transported from Nepal by majestic elephants.
