Day 1: Arrival at Cochin – Athirappilly Falls – Munnar
Upon your arrival in Cochin, embark on a journey to Munnar, making a stop at the renowned Athirappilly Falls, the crown jewel of Kerala’s waterfalls. Towering at 80 feet high and stretching 330 feet wide, Athirappilly Falls presents a breathtaking spectacle, nestled against the backdrop of the Sholayar ranges, and is often hailed as the “Niagara Falls of India.” Just a mere 5 kilometers away lies another stunning waterfall – Vazhachal.
After relishing the beauty of the waterfalls, continue your journey towards Munnar. Perched at an elevation of 1,600 meters above sea level, Munnar boasts an endless panorama of tea plantations, pristine valleys, and majestic mountains, where you often find yourself above the clouds, witnessing the ethereal veils of mist clinging to the landscape.
Day 2: Munnar Full Day Sightseeing Tour
Following a delightful breakfast, embark on a captivating sightseeing journey through Munnar. Your first stop will be the Eravikulam National Park (additional ticket fee applies), which will be closed from January 2025 until March 2025, followed by a visit to the Mattupetty Dam (additional ticket fee applies), a remarkable concrete gravity dam nestled in the mountains. Following a delightful breakfast, check out from your hotel and embark on your journey to Alleppey, a destination renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty and extensive network of inland canals, which has earned it the title of the “Venice of the East.”
Alleppey is celebrated for its enchanting backwater cruises and exhilarating boat races. Upon arrival, check into your hotel or houseboat and, if you are staying on a houseboat, set sail through the narrow canals that weave through lush paddy fields, serene coconut lagoons, and charming coir villages, offering unforgettable panoramic views.
